Volunteer Hand Pie Assembly

Join us during our usual Makers Morning for a special volunteer event aimed at getting us prepped for our Winter Bonfire! Volunteers will take pre-made pie dough (created by staff and students the night before at the “Do It Yourself Hand Pies” class) and assembly them into delectable savory hand pies. Ingredients may include zucchini, onion, mushrooms, garlic, and fresh herbs! We need all hands on deck to make enough hand pies for the Winter Bonfire on December 12th, where we celebrate the return of the land to ice and snow, and prepare for a season of communal rest and reset.

This fun annual event is a great way to contribute to the community event, and glean some tips and tricks for assembling your own hand pies in the future. All ingredients and equipment will be provided by the Ely Folk School (including aprons) so just show up to help out.
