Ely For Ely: Community Legacy & Transfer of Wealth

A significant amount of wealth is expected to transfer to Ely over the next 10-20 years, creating opportunities for community endowments, charitable giving, and legacy investments. This series of Ely for Ely gatherings will explore the scale of opportunity Ely has to embrace its huge reach to create lasting wealth for future generations. Together, we will learn more about estate planning, charitable tools, local giving pathways, and more. These meetings are open to all.

Boundary Waters Connect facilitates an Ely for Ely planning committee, made up of local nonprofit leaders, business owners, and community members, to host a monthly networking and professional development program for Ely-area entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, and community members interested in making positive contributions to local affairs.

The first meeting in each series will frame the conversation; the second will be an in-depth look at the track, maximizing Extension research, insights, and data. The third gathering will consider local applications and strategies for the future.
